Ultimate Media Consult (UMC) is inviting applications from journalists in Uganda to attend a Multimedia Journalism and Digital Skills training. UMC is conducting a Multimedia & Digital Skills Training Project benefiting Journalists, Journalism students and Lecturers. The project is supported by the US Mission in Uganda.

Why you should apply

Upon completion of this program, participating journalists will have the knowledge and skills necessary to apply their new skill set immediately to their professional work in a safe and secure manner, as they will be supported and mentored to produce and publish industry-standard multimedia content. Journalists with good story ideas will be supported with story grants to produce & publish multimedia stories. There will be a VIRTUAL Award ceremony on 16th February 2023 to recognize & award the best multimedia stories published.

Training venues and dates

  • The 1st workshop will be held in Hoima City from 23rd – 28th October 2022.
  • The 2nd workshop will be held in Mbale City from 27th November – 02nd December 2022.

DEADLINE for submission of applications is Thursday, October 06th, 2022.
Successful applicants will be notified by 9th October 2022.
